Mike Taylor was raised in the inner city of Milwaukee by a single mother. He learned a hard work ethic and developed a dream to enhance his skills to get himself and his family out of poverty. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 2004 in the IB program. In 2006, he graduated from Chipola Junior College with a degree in sports management. Mike then attended Iowa State University for 1 year before becoming the first player in NBA history to be drafted from the D-League.
He has played in the NBA and overseas for 10+ years. Mike has won a total of 7 championships in the D-League(Idaho), Poland, Lebanon, Qatar, Korea, and Africa. He currently plays in the BIG3 as captain of the ghost ballers, A 3-ON-3 basketball league founded by hip-hop icon, and actor Ice Cube.
Mike is the CEO of his own business Taylored4All, LLC. where his focus is social-emotional learning and development, restorative practices, and mental health advocacy. He developed a passion for helping youth learn how to maneuver through life's hardships by discovering what they are good at. Mike has created a Silent comic book series. He is recently married to Alahna and He has two smart and curious kids MiKe, Jr, and Nahiem including two bonus kids Cameron and Donovan.
